Young professionals are here

Unlike the "new russians", this social group doesn’t have a history or folklore yet, but it is already noticeable. The collocation ‘young professionals’ can partly be explained by the notion of a ‘yuppie’. "Yuppy" does not always define this generation of Russian managers and entrepreneurs (‘young urban professionals’, or ‘young upwardly – mobile professional persons’ – these are the somewhat ironic names for young people who strive for career growth and professional advancement). "What kind of job is best for a yuppie? The one that pays a six-figure salary and where you can make your boss or subordinate responsible for a failure".

In the period of sexual liberation (in the 1960’s and 70’s) there was a peak of sexual activity with minimum reproduction. Nowadays, in a society in which cloning and genetic advancements are becoming commonplace, society dreams of the opposite: reproduction with minimal sex. The Body used to be a metaphor of the heart and of feelings.

In traditional pre-capitalist era societies, power was purely authoritarian. God’s will or traditions were represented by a person (whether it was an egyptian pharaoh, a roman Emperor, or a tsar of russia), who ruled the society and the country based on those traditions.

In America, people seem young and healthy, they are constantly eating and smiling; the lights are on at night; and hundreds of TV and radio channels work twenty-four hours a day. Americans are as perfect as gods thanks to sports, aerobics, medicine and plastic surgery that allows them to reconstruct their appearance. To Americans, appearance is an asset: a proof of personal success.

A Brand is certainly an Idea

A brand is certainly an idea. One brand is one idea or value. If a consumer cannot feel the key value of the brand then, alas, such a brand is far from being real.
